How We Handle Your Data
Effective date: October 24, 2026
The Graybridge Data Company reads only public online data, and the one private thing you give us, the list of brands you ask us to read, is never shared, published or used outside your account. This page answers the questions a fund asks before paying a new vendor.
What we read
Public data only. Anything a shopper or analyst could see without logging in.
- Google Shopping sellers and prices
- Meta Ad Library ads
- Public Instagram posts and comments
- Brand storefronts: public product and price listings
We never receive a brand's internal numbers, customer lists or any personal data about shoppers. We don't need access to your portfolio companies' systems.
What you share, and how it stays private
You share three things: the brands you want read, your team's names and work emails, and billing details.
The brand list is treated as confidential because it can reveal your pipeline.
- Never shared with another client, and never visible in another account.
- Never named alongside your firm in anything we publish, including Atlas, Substack or LinkedIn.
- A brand you request is never featured in our public content unless it was already on our public list, or you agree in writing.
- Card payments run through Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
Where it's stored and who can see it
- Stored in the United States, on our own server behind Cloudflare.
- Backups are encrypted before they leave our server, so the backup host can't read them.
- Backed up every week to a separate off-site location.
- Access: admins only. Every admin account uses two-factor sign-in.
- The site runs over HTTPS. Request lists are kept in a separate database from the public brand data we collect.
How the data is collected
- From public pages only, through established third-party data collection providers and our own reader of public storefront listings.
- We never log in to any platform, use anyone's account, or get around a paywall.
- Collection never identifies you or your firm. Search results vary by location and day, so our counts can differ slightly from a search you run yourself. Every finding we print carries a date and a way to check it.
If we stop operating, and deletion
- Continuity: if The Graybridge Data Company stops operating, you get at least 30 days' notice, time to download every read delivered to you, and a refund of any prepaid time not delivered.
- Deletion: ask, and we delete your request list and account data within 30 days. Billing records we must keep by law are kept, with everything else removed.
- Pilots never auto-renew. Nothing is charged after a pilot ends unless you choose to continue.
