Who we are
The Graybridge Data Company LLC ("Graybridge Data," "we," "us") runs graybridgedata.com and the Graybridge Data platform. We publish reads on consumer brands built from public online data, for brands and for the investors who back them.
This policy explains what personal information we collect from people who visit our site, sign up, receive our mail or use our service, and what we do with it. It does not cover the websites of brands we analyze or of the services we link to.

Information we collect from you
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, work email, company and, if you add one, a phone number and profile picture.
- Your use of the service: the brands you track or ask us to read, your plan and brand swaps, your answers to "Did we get it right?" and any comments you leave, and messages you send us.
- Billing details: your plan, invoices and payment status. Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Information we collect automatically
- Activity and device: sign-ins, pages and features you use, your IP address, browser and device type.
- Mailer codes: if you received our mail and scan its QR code or type its address, we log the code, the time and how many times it was opened.
- Cookies: see Cookies below.
Information from others
If you received our mail, we found your name, firm, role and office address in public sources such as your firm's website, professional profiles and public regulatory filings. We use it only to send you that mail and follow up about it.
Public data we collect about brands
Our reads are built from data anyone can see without logging in: brand storefronts, Google Shopping sellers and prices, ads in the Meta Ad Library, and public Instagram posts and comments.
This is data about companies, not people, with one exception. Public Instagram comments are written by people. We use them only to measure how customers feel about a brand, counted across many comments. We keep the comment text and the commenter's public username, and we do not store links to their profiles. We never build profiles of individual commenters, and we never sell, share or publish their usernames.
If you want a comment of yours removed from our records, email [email protected] with the brand and your username.
How we use information
- To run your account, deliver the reads you asked for and email you when they're ready.
- To bill you and handle your plan.
- To answer your questions and follow up on mail we sent you.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To improve our reads, using your "Did we get it right?" answers and comments.
- To meet legal obligations.
What we never do
- We never sell your personal information or share it for cross-site advertising.
- We never show one customer's tracked brands or requests to another customer.
- We never name your firm next to the brands you asked us to read in anything we publish.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run Graybridge Data, and only what each one needs.

We also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or users, or as part of a merger or sale of the company, in which case this policy continues to apply.
Cookies
We use cookies that keep you signed in and keep the site secure. These are always on. Analytics cookies are off unless you say yes in our cookie banner, and you can change that choice at any time. We do not use advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
- Account information: while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your personal details and anonymize the rest, such as the history of which brands an account tracked.
- Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Mailer contact details: for up to 24 months after our last mailing to you, or sooner if you ask us to stop.
- Logs: sign-in, activity and mailer scan records are kept while your account is open or for up to 24 months after our last mailing to you. Error and server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
How we protect it
Our site runs over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, admin accounts use two-factor sign-in, and backups are encrypted before they leave our servers. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can:
- See and download your data at graybridgedata.com/mydata.
- Correct it in your Profile.
- Delete your account from your Profile, or by emailing us.
- Stop our mail and emails by emailing [email protected] or using the unsubscribe link.
California residents
Under California law you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to delete it; to correct it; and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. You can use them yourself or through an authorized agent by emailing [email protected]. We will confirm your identity before acting, usually by checking the email on your account, and respond within 45 days.
The categories of personal information we collected in the last 12 months are the ones listed above: identifiers (name, email, IP address), commercial information (plan and billing), internet activity (use of our site) and professional information (firm and role). We collected them for the purposes in "How we use information" and disclosed them only to the providers in "Who we share it with."
Outside the United States
Our service is built for the United States, and our servers are here. If you use it from elsewhere, your information is handled in the United States.
Children
Graybridge Data is a business service and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will email account holders before it takes effect.
